Hi Ian

Did you have the car from new? If so how old is it now and how many miles? Has anything been done like an accident repair or a new windscreen?

Just a suggestion. It is very easy to get the cabin filter out;

Drop the glove box open.

Remove the damper from the left hand side (leave the duchie!!)

Squeeze the glove box by the stops to allow it to drop fully, this will reveal the filter housing.

Unclip the cover and pull out the filter

Check if it is wet or if there is any evidence of water in the housing. If necessary do this check while it is raining. It will point you towards the fix that chatman has found the tsb for.

Good luck
