I'm trying to figure out how to remove the trim from the A pillars so I can install tweeters.

I don't want to mangle the trim, has anyone here done it, or know how to? Google and forum search aren't coming up with anything.

TIA

Why are you trying to install them in the A-pillar??

They can be fitted at the top of the door trim by the window, as they point in the right direction of the listener.

Trying to get them in the A-pillar, depending how you mount them, will make the sound spread across the windscreen rather than towards you.

Hi I have installed the A pillar toyota Speakers on my E12.

Very easy to do. The A pillar covers just pull off, the clips are designed to break so will have to buy two new clips.

When you go to your Toyota centre's parts department ask them to go on the EAPM (Electronic Accessories Parts Management) system they have and ask them to print you a fitting instruction guide (which they will have available).

It gives you step by step instructions to fit them. Took me about 30 mins and I am fairly average at fitting things.

If you need any other help when fitting them let me know.

Thanks all :-) sounds easier than I thought!

man-bing - I've a basic model with manual mirrors, otherwise I would have gone for the blanking plate location. I thought the A-pillar trim would have been easier to cut than the door moulding?

Anything that lifts the sound stage from my ankles has to be a good thing, right?
