Rav4 Lost All Keys

Hi all

I have a RAV4 year july 2005,

I lost all keys, and I want to programm new one .

Can anyone help me for Type of transponder , Is it 4C or 4D and if it's 4D what type of 4D , it's from dealer or any 4D?

Don't know what the spec of your car is but in the UK, you would have to change the key/lock assemblys AND the engine ECU, a very costly job. Kingo :thumsup:

I remember when I picked up my RAV the salesman said if I lose all the keys and the key id tag it will cost me about £1300 to change everything

If I keep the tag in a safe place then its just the cost of the keys if I lose them, he said that would be about £30.

Im pretty sure your salesman has got that wrong bigbaz. A single key will cost alot more than £30 each! PLus the price to code them in at the dealership too!

novice 20007, as parts king says if you lose the keys over here it will cost ALOT of money for the keys, locks,transponder, ecu etc plus fitting and coding! Might be time to get the insurance company involved?
