I took a mate from work out at lunch to show him that his Ford Mondildo is not a sporty car, and what was right in front of me as I hit 90Mph? A !Removed! mobile speed camera.

I drove back the opposite direction 10 minutes later and it was gone, so I'm hoping they were in the process of packing up when I went passed. I'm hoping either it wasn't on, or that I managed to dump to 70 in time.

If not, woops! 14 day ban and a nice fine for me. (and only after 5 days of having the thing!)

Strangely enough, in your other thread about how to drive a T-sport sensibly, I was going to suggest drive like a loon till you're one pull from a ban - then you suddenly realise how to drive more sensibly !!!!

Fingers crossed that they missed you this time mate

If you do get done and only catch a 14 day ban I suggest you should regard that as a good result

Well 90 isn't an instant ban? It's an SP30 (speeding on public road) isn't it? If you get a court summons it's up to a 14 day ban, 3-6 points and £1000 fine. Or something or other.

Depends where you were doing 90, if it's in a 30 then your banned, you might have to visit the bench to explain why you were doing 90 in say a 60. Either way, if you were doing 90 and were caught on camera, you deserve a fine and points, if you were not caught, maybe your admission of guilt on this forum may lead to a knock on your door. If I were you, I would'nt be bragging about doing 90 anywhere, particularly in a public forum. Kingo

In a 70. Not bragging at all, I've not broken the speed limit on purpose since last July when I got done after overtaking a caravan. Typical init! And yea, you're right, I deserve the fine and points. I'm normally the dude cursing the BMW drivers bombing it past me!

Kingo is right. It's stoopid bragging speedin publicaly. I guy filmed himself doin 130mph and posted it to utube . he got caught and locked up lol On a different matter i was picked up on the m/way whilst autostoppin by a yts the guy who i never met before and dont know noting about was speeding as a maniac coz he wanted to show me his car top speed dispalyed on his tomtom, wel that was 120mph (the car speedmater gauge was stuck end of scale) ... how deprecable! I said to this suicdal guy that was crazzy and a murderer too. Speedin like he does it's maniacal and he sdl be locked up in prison for good sharin a cell wiv paedos and psycos lol But it's a difficult one it's called HRFS (heavy Right Food Syndrome) it's not curable in no ways , only amputation may work lol I got dropped somewhere i dont remember where and never seen him again lol .

I was doing 80mph in lane one on the motorway when a motorcyclist pulled up along side and knocked on my window

I wound it down and shouted across at him “What do you think you are doing?”

He held up a cigarette and said “Have you got a light?”

I couldn’t hear him properly at first due to the wind noise and the engine noise from his motorcycle.

So I shouted across at him again and said “What do you want?”

He shouted back “Have you got a light... for my cigarette?”

I said “Are you trying to kill yourself?”

He said “No... I only smoke 3 a day!”

Went to Burger King and saw the van. It was an HM Customs and Revenue Van looking for Red Diesal :) No Camera inside! Woohoo.

Good to hear it was ok. Was going to suggest that, as I saw one of those tax checkers pointed at me when I came round a corner a day or two ago.

And the moral of this story....

Don't let peer pressure make you do daft things.... if your mate hadn't been going on about how fast his car was you wouldnt have felt compelled to show him who's got the faster car... am I right or am I right?

Next time you mate tries to get one over on you, just simply say "Quality beats quantity anytime mate" and leave it at that....
