Not sure....i'm quite sure your MOT regulations are the same as th UK. Just get the de-cat pipe putt in with the flanges and all. Then take the cat with you to the test center....and change it before you hand over the keys :) Sometimes the tester will just say not to bother swapping it, if your lucky enough!

I'm sure you have the same regs as the rest of the UK. It will FAIL. Gone are the days where dodgy garages handed out MOT's, VOSA are now linked to every MOT station by computer. They can sit outside the MOT station (and they do) wait till you hit the print button to pass an MOT, and then drive in to do an on the spot re-test. Besides that, what are they going to do to get a CO reading? shove the test probe up another vehicles exhaust to help you out?..........I think not. Nope, decat it at your own risk, but don't expect to wander into an MOT station and find somebody to give you a ticket. Kingo

As far as taking off cats I wouldn't recommend it. If anything you can pickup some high flow ones fairly cheaply off of eBay. In my experience on my 92 cutlass removing the cat made the engine run like crap because it needed that back pressure.

If your going to do it anyways be sure to drop a diode on the post precat o2 sensor to stop the check engine light from coming on. Details can be found Here
