C/locking Fob Not Working, Do I Need A Recode?

The remote for the central locking needs a replacement Battery, how do I go about this?, if I change the Battery will it loose the code, and need a recode?

have the Battery ready when you take the old Battery out and swap the batterys str8 ova n u shud b fine if u take the Battery out n wait five mins till u put the new one in this is when the key fob will loose its coding in
