Driver Seat Height Adjustment

Hi everyone...

I have a problem with my Corolla E12's driver seat. This has a height adjusting lever which raises or lowers the seat. I have noticed that if you raise the seat, this automatically goeas back down to it's minimum. Doeas your front seat behave the same?

Never heard of one doing that before, it's not hydraulic. it's on a cam type system:

Take a look at the rod going through the centre, it fixes to a cam at one end, maybe thats the fault. Kingo

I too had same problem. I wasn't really sure at first, because it happened so slowly, over weeks, probably months. First couple of times, I thought nothing of it but then realised what was happening. Took it in to Mr T under warranty and some parts were changed. Been ok since.
