I'm not sure if this has been there all along but lately i've a strange grinding sound like metal sheets rubbing together. It happens when I'm coasting without my foot on the clutch. It's not extremely load and it doesnt affect my driving but it doesnt sound normal. Does anyone know what this could be?

Ive had the same thing since i bought my TS a year ago. Car is absolutley fine, breaks are good and the clutch dont slip. I now believe this is just a trait of the car and not worth worrying about.

Im due a 40k service this month so may ask them about it then. Ill keep ya posted.

The car is 2 years old. No problems with the cluth, it's done 16k and it was serviced 6 weeks ago so I guess I cant see it being a mechanical problem. But cause I know it's there I either keep the window open or the music on so I dont hear it.

If you could ask them and let me know Lee it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hahahaha that sounds like my mum.

[Me] Erm your exhaust is making a terrible noise...

[Mum] Is it? I normally just turn the radio up when I hear a funny noise

[Me] *headbuts the wall*

I have had my '52 for about 3 months and it does exactly the same. I worried at first because it doesnt sound healthy but there are quite a few people on here with it. Ive not had any problems at all so as said above, "i think its just a trait of the car"

when i changed the clutch (51K used a cheapo blue print part) on my tsport. The plate was worn and the cover was ok, but the thrust bearing was knackered disportionately to the others. This was causing the chattering noise heard under engine braking.
