Engine Lights....again

Hello all. First time writer, long time reader. Corny but funny. Anyway, my 2004 2.0 litre T4 Avensis is back in the garage for the fourth time in three months with engine management light glowing merrily. Then off. Then on...you get the picture. I have driven Toyotas for about eight years and they have always been spot on (two fantastic second hand Carina Es - a 1.6 GS lean burn and a 2.0GLi saloon) until I bought this one six months ago - low mileage, one owner, FTSH etc. The manufacturer's warranty expires in two weeks and I am desperately hoping that the "intermittent slow response on one of the oxygen sensors" is to blame for my current worry or it's time to look at H*nda instead. One of the oxygen sensors was only changed about six weeks ago by the main dealer and they are saying, maybe that it was faulty when it was installed. I have always believed Toyotas to be bullet proof, but is the current Avensis the black sheep of the family?

My friend's Toyota had similar problems with this orange warning light... Mr T. explained that on any Toyota now days you got 20-30 sensors if this light appears then one or couple of these sensors gone wrong!

BEST THING TO DO - EXTENED WARRANTY- up to 7 years and if that light will be back again there won't be any charges. I extended on my one... if something goes wrong... I don't have to spend unexpected money.
