Just a quick poll to see what sorta age group own the aygo dunno y somehow seemed relevant to me.

Also what sorta areas do u guys live in? as the aygo is a city car, but my town is pretty small u go 3 miles in either direction u hit a large road or country road so 60mph+ mostly to go anywhere, nearest city is 6 miles away on 60mph roads well there is 2 roads to get to it, thats it haha

Have a goodnight TOC peeps

Well not got mine yet but I thought I would fill this in anyway! LOL

You'll only really get a cross reference on here of the people who actually have joined the forum. There are plenty of "Elderly " others who aren't members of the "Silver Surfers Brigade" that I've seen driving around in them. Have not "flashed" my lights (in acknowledgment) at them as I wouldn't expect them to cotton on to what it was for.

But I love driving it, and the car tax has just been renewed for little more cost than a tank full of fuel!!!!

so far 2 women own the agyo and 13 men bit divided lol

I will be 42 in September and am a male secondary school teacher. Originally from Taiwan, I grew up believing that most reliable cars were produced by the Japanese (whereas the German class and technology; the British style and flare). I traded in my old Toyota Corolla 1.3 for a ex-demo Aygo+ last October for practical and economical reasons.

I live in Essex but work in North Yorkshire so my weekly commute has been around 450 miles round trip at weekends. Whilst working during the week, I hardly ever drive as I walk to work. When at home, Aygo is mainly used for round-the-town trips. Aygo's done me proud in the past year doing all these long journeys as I never had a slightest problem with the car (touch wood).

However, I am looking forward to relocating up to North Yorkshire later this year (house hunting at the moment). There will be new challenges ahead for my little Aygo in fronsty, foggy and snowing conditions, negotiating the country roads; however, there'll also be so much more fun when I can eventually take my Aygo to visit the Dales and the Moors soon. Mind you, my partner's got a RAV4 XT4 (2006) which he uses for work and we use for "treat trips"!

So, there we are - from town to country - a new life for Aygo.

Sorry to be dumb, but how do I add my "vote" to the list?

just click the one u r then click vote :D

well i have sold one car, the gti180 turbo is gone!!! though i got a lot less then i thought it, seems a gti180 turbo is not a car in demand seeing as its fuel bill is more than £300 a month, well for me anyway

Pull my 1.4 206 sport out of the storage garage she's been in there 6 months, it feels so slow now, but my god does she handle, riding on 17's slammed 60mm front and 75mm rear, speed bumps r a hell no situation! soon as this one sells its aygo time!!! though the reason for buying one has left me the girlfriend has become an ex girlfriend, something to do with long term plans and I hate kids and she wants them 3 years wasted nevermind! but the aygo still seems like a winner though i do now have enough money for an evo!

I thought there would be alot more females owning the car as i thought it looked more a "chick" car. Obviously I was wrong. Anyhow Im one of the Female (17-21's).

Result so far

Men = 31

female = 8

Aygos mostly owned by men aged 17-30 totaling 16 aygos. 8 for each respective age group 17-21 + 22-30

this is not what i expected at all, makes me what the aygo even more, at first i thought it was a young girls car, stereotypical I know, but now I see that it sits in my age range I am 21 and if i own it i wanted some life value from it.

Thinking it would be a too young car for me and i'd have to get something more grown up.

i do drive the girlest car ever the 206, well not ever the 206cc is, but its peppy for what it is.

seems this little car can handle motorways, rurel roads, A or B roads, fast country roads no wonder it gets called the small miricle! now to bring my rational head back on and go and get one instead of holding it in the skyand thinking Subura impreza or astra VXR, corsa vxr, 207 gti, honda civic type-R.

I know the aygo is not in the same league as these cars but i can afford any other them, but be nice having more of the money lining my pockets than esso's, and insurance companies!

another woman to the list and well kind of a youngy 27..lol although i feel older at moment

anyway havent been on for a while so off to do some serious catching up..hello and welcome to all the newbies hope your enjoying your aygo

am actually on my second Aygo so maybe i could be counted twice..lol ..makes me larf tho when I see older people driving it as Toyota shamelessly marketed towards the younger age range..hello ..T4 adverts! i think the guy down my street that owns one tho is definitly the eldest he must be at least a hundred..before wing mirrors were invinted anyway as he dont know how to use them..lol

just read my post ...i mean i dont larf at people who are older driving an aygo i just meant it makes me larf if that makes sense i have no issue whoever drives the aygo aslong as they love it, feed it and clean it regularly..remember they're not just for christmas..anyway hopefully preempted a misunderstanding there

No Offence taken by this 52 year old driving and loving his Aygo. I just smile in mutual admiration when I see anyone else driving one, safe in the knowledge that they too have seen sense and are being "Green" & Having Fun at the same time!

Glad you enjoyed your Cornwall trip.

:lol:

I do exactly the same ... Im 42 and proud Wo0Oo0Oooo ... and my other half is 50, we act like teenagers, worse sometimes! ... Lol!!! ... You know what they say, 'You're as old as you feel' ... and i still feel like Im 19 (how sad) :( ... lol

**I have to add I get a lot of boys ... well to me they are boys ... (young men) ... looking and eyeing up the car, I'd like to think it was me they were giving the eye to, but I know its my very shexay car**

It's reassuring to know the aygo isn't a popular girls/hairdressers' car like the Smart Car, new VW beetle, Audi TT or the BMW mini

Resurected to go alongside the new poll on age of owners, just to provide a comparison.

Is that the done thing to flash head lamps to other Aygo owners ? I have only had mine a short while and no ones flashed yet but I would flash back. Reminds me of a Fiat 500 I had 31 years ago we all used to flash Good Fun !

Posted

I never flash the headlights if not absolutely neccesary, as this is bad for my Xenons :D
