Anyone Identify This?

Hi All,

Can anyone please identify this starter motor it is off the 1990 2.0 petrol auto Hilux Surf i am buying unfortunatly there is no number on it and it has paked up :(

Not being funny, but you have identified it, it's a starter off a 1990 Hilux Surf 2.0 petrol, go and get some starter contacts from Toyota or Milners, Toyota will need your chassis number.

Simple fit the parts and replace.

kit for a 3.0 td is £34 - i presume the 2.0 petrol will be about the same price. pop along to www.hiluxsurf.co.uk its all on there how to do the job.

Thanks all for the help i have stripped the s.motor and contacts are worn down i will go to my local Toyota dealer with the old ones and see how much for replacement contacts go

Thanks for the advice and info very much appreciated i have sorted me s.motor out and finally got my Surf back just stripped and cleaned everything up and away she started on the button :D I will need to rebuild the s.motor at some stage but that can wait for a bit in meantime i have another conundrem for all you knowledgables out there Ie i opened the sunroof on my Surf today and on closing it i could hear a vibrating noise when i pulled the swith cover off a plastic thingy with two brass prongs fell out can anyone identify this for me pleeeease ;)

sorry bud, i aint got a sunroof, i will check the epc though and see if that parts on there , but chances are it wont be.

if yours is a uk model pm the chassis number - that'll be alot easier then .
