Hi mate. I have a 05 T Spirit and would recommend Jemca Croydon.

They've been absolutely great. They replaced the headlights due to condensation

and skimmed the discs under warranty. No questions asked.

The 20K service cost £282 (VAT inc) and they even paid for a taxi to drop me home

so I wouldn't have to wait. Not too bad for complete peace of mind.

My son has a 54 Corolla and feels the same way about them. Staff are

friendly and knowledgeable. We really cannot fault them so far. I'd give them a try.

Had my Avensis T4 serviced and MOT yesterday. It was collected from my house and returned. £267. It was a four year service. Dealer was very good.

I told a mate about the service; he has a Renault and he is thinking of changing to Toyota.

I did think the oil was a pricey compared to what you can buy it for in Halfords etc. But there you go I think Toyota service is better than other main dealers I have had over the years.

Avoid Jamca up near Wembley like the plague, they made a right mess of my girlfriends MR2. Put me off all Jemca's to be honest. Biggest crook is a chap called Steve Leat who's the area manager.

Just had my T3x in for a 70000 mile service at Thurlow Nunn St.Ives. Also carried out MOT, full aircon service including anti bacterial treatment and replaced cabin air filter. Total £278.50 think thats a bargain for a Main Dealer. Well pleased

Oh forgot to mention they also valeted the inside free of charge. :)

My 20k is due, can anybody recommend a dealer near Glasgow, there's no way in hell it's going to arnold clark. I'm surprised about the comments regarding taxis and getting car picked up etc. Is this standard practice?

I think a 10K will cost you about £130, most dealers offer a collection/delivery or loan car

Oil is pricey from a dealer compared to Halfords, I'm partial to a sirloin steak, but one cooked by Gordon Ramsey is way dearer than Asda's !, lol :D

Find a dealer who you are happy with and build a good rapport with him.

Cheers

Kingo

Chris,

I use Shields Toyota, they have always been very professional and friendly.

You can find them here:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&sa...895451291336831

You can book service/etc on www.toyota.co.uk. Once they have confirmed they date they will send you a price estimate via email (for normal stuff it is quite accurate). As a courtesy they usually wash (the outside) of you car when repairs/service is finished.

The service manager is VERY good, I can not remember is name (I have his card at work), but you will notice if you speak to him.

A while you wait service on a sat morning (20k is usually <£300). I paid something like 200£ for MOT and 10k service.

The 10K service on my 1.8 petrol cost £83 at John Roe in Subikhorpe. Due to a recall on the vehicle as well they put £8.50 of fuel in as a good will gesture.

Andy

Note that the dealership is in S C U N T H O R P E but there is a filter blocking the word due to the effect named after the place!
