Does Toyota Sell Fabric?

I am looking at buying a '53 Corolla 1.4 T3 5d.

The problem is, when I went to see it at the (vauxhall) garage, I noticed the fabric on the backrest of rear seat had 2 worn patches. It's on the smaller part of the 60/40 rear split. Looks like the previous owner has had a child seat and where it has been touching the seat it has been rubbing and wearing away the fabric.

The garage said they would try and fix it but the guy that comes in to do their repairs is unsure if he can sort it.

I won't accept the car without it looking mint so what I need to know is does Toyota sell replacement fabric?

Thanks

John

No idea if they sell fabric (probably not imo) but you might want to try negotiating a discount on the vehicle to offset the cost of getting the worn seating parts from a breakers.

I have a 55 Corolla and had all front and rear seat covers replaced so I guess it may be possible to order a specific part cover for a seat area. Ask at the dealers. You never know.

No they don't sell repair fabric, but you can buy a full swab, seat base, back, whatever is needed, but be prepared to take your credit card, it's expensive! Kingo

Thanks for the info. It will be the dealer I am buying the car from that will be paying the bill so I'm not concerned with the cost.
