hi there all i have a celica gen7 140 and have just purchased an induction kit, although the kit i have purchased does not accomidate for the air flow sensors from the original box. Once the car is started up and idliling the car is fine although engine light is on, will i cause any damage to the engine running it for long periods like this? when noticing this problem i put the old air box back in disconnected then reconnected the positive on the Battery and was back to normal and running fine. I asume it is ok to use the induction kit but would prefer some advice. regards brad.

your gonna be disturbing the air to fuel ratio because your ecu will be picking up the wrong amounts of cold air so your performance could possibly drop bud

if your air to fuel ratio isnt rite you could end up with it over fueling and pre-ignition could happen (ie pinking) this can cause hot spots (weak points) on the block and head and if unchecked will blow a hole in the engine and you'll be able to look at your pretty pistons :help:

they give you the wrong kit for your car, like every one is saying, its really going to upset ur fual mixture, the AFM is there for a reason. Do ur self a faver and take it back and get the correct one. the point of a induction kit is to help your car breath easier. this kit will only make matters worce
