Celica Carlos Sainz Wheels

I've just bought a Celica GT4 Carlos Sainz and the car is completely original at the moment. I like everything about it except for the wheels which I'm going to change over the next couple of weeks but the problem is I'm having trouble finding a set that don't clash with the colour of the car which is grey. Has anyone got any suggestions/pictures on what kind of set I should go for? Alternatively is there a website where I can preview the alloys on the car before buying?

Thanks,

Paul

Welcome PEB; congratulations on a great choice of car!

Not aware of a site you can preview wheels, but if you look round t'internet you'll find examples of GT4s with quite a few different wheels, or failing that if you post up the car and wheels you like someone will probably pchop them for you.

I like the standard wheels - simply because they're the right ones for the car, but they do look a bit small and ideally would look better spaced a bit. If I changed I'd probably go for white Oz wheels as they always look good on GT4s

perhaps these

or these

Yes, I know the last one's a model, couldn't find a pic of the wheels quickly, though I'm sure a more thorough search would find one.

Thanks T600,

I've always liked the Carlos Sainz but found it hard to come across one that hadn't been messed with. I found this one on Autotrader last week and its completely original, its even got the standard stereo :-)

After doing some digging I found this website http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/ its not brilliant but its given me a few ideas anyway. I do like the white OZ's!

Here's a few pics of the car:

Very nice. Good luck with finding the wheels you want.

Not many standard ones left; mine has an aftermarket head unit, but I've managed to get a standard one off another owner, so should be back to standard soon.

Looks like yours is a K plate; presumably quite a high number?

Mine's an early 26xx something; I forget what exactly. Thought yours might have been higher than that. The red one above is in the 29xx range.

Car looks good on those wheels; I wouldn't fit them to anything else, but to me they're right for that car. Sadly though not too many people agree.

I've got two sets now - one still wearing the old size tyres that you can't get anywhere. Think I'm going to get some winter tyres on them and use them when gritters come out, as the main set have been refurbed and I don't want them rotting as Toyota wheels usually do.
