I'm hoping it doesn't come to it but I'm running out of options.

If I go the website route then all contributions will be welcome.

go for it mate, i'll put loads of stuff your way. i found the best way to get any joy out of the dealers is to go in on a weekend when people are looking around brand new cars. enter the showroom and start shouting and balling about how you've been ripped off ,and conned, they'll normally do anything to shut you up and get rid of you :D

I've no idea how you'd go about it but maybe have a word with Citizens Advice Bureau as a starter with a view to taking them to court?

I'm pretty sure it's a legal obligation to supply the service part. i just don't know what time scales etc they're obliged to work to.

Quite often a legitimate threat of legal action will cut through the BS

That sort of attitude should not, and would not get you very far. Scotsman has some issues which I understand and feel for, however, your asking somebody to go into a dealer, rant and rave, when the actual problem in hand is a part that TGB cant get, not the dealer. Ripped off and conned are very strong words, I would suggest you go the route of direct contact with customer relations at TGB, writing half way around the world will not speed up the situation.

Kingo

I've no problem with the dealer.

I have never blamed them for my issue and yet they have promised me a free service when they finally fix the air-con. They are not even a Toyota dealer.

Well - I got another call from Toyota GB

Their new ETA for the pipe is the 7th November although this is subject to change.

  • 4 weeks later...

My dealer phoned, and the Toyota. The pipe for my air-con has arrived.

It took 103 days from when it was ordered to arrive.
