If you can fit them, that would be something to photograph :lol::lol::lol:

You must be like a kid at Christmas! The 21st can't come soon enough for you, I am sure.

PS Have a quick look though the RAV photos thread, I think loading photos is explained there

Dont know about you chaps/chappets...but I dont tend to come on unless im at work....dont class this as sad but a good way to pass the day.... :)

As for the pics, I do belive that I have seen the blob about how to place pics on this site...should be fun to try out when I get the chance...

on the forum note tho...I have been forum hopping...started as a ford cougar owner then came accross to toyota on the avensis forum and now on to the Rav4 one...each hop was due to having a kid so to start the cougar was no good as the rear seats could not really accomodate a child seat so I thought a t4 avensis would do...Well it did until the other half "forced" us into becoming pregnant again.... ;) and as she is a child minder there is no way we can transport our kids plus a punters kid the wife and myself in the avensis....and as the company I work for doesnt pay me enough to afford a Landcruiser I thought the Rav4 will do JUUUSt fine B) and after a few test drives it was spot on

As for adding gooddies....I do believe those days are over....I think the only extra I would eventually add is a DVD system good enough to play dvds and take on a PS2/3 or xbox 360 for those long trips up north...GOT TO KEEP MYSELF HAPPY WHILST THE OTHER HALF DRIVES.... ;)

Only thing is, I hope that the alarm system deterrs the little society missfit from spraying the Rav...

Cheers,

the child seats were ok...Ive got a Mamas and Papas one and a britax and I managed to place the britax one behind the drivers seat and the Mamas and Papas one went in the middle, there was enough space then for the wife to sit in the back (she is only 5"3) and we could then place the newen in the front.

This solution would only be for short journeys though - I've let her know that 2 kids of our owns plenty...

If the child seats would not have gone in the back in that arrangement then I would have had to say no to the Rav and probably get the likes of a people carrier - which I think would be overkill... for our needs...

No, I dont like it to be honest. Also on the new shape I hate the idea of the front bench....I do like toyota one for the fact that I never had any serious issues with my avensis, also a relative of mine had the old shape vensis and had no issues with it.

And on top of this when Top Gear took the pickup(cant remember the name of it) and blew it up sunk it in the ocean etc and the engine still started up...I think that pretty much says it all...

Well here it is....on friday 21st I will be getting the ....Vermilion Red XT4

Took it for a good test drive and although it has'nt got the pull of the diesel I prefer the quietness of it.

Also as mentioned before I dont need it for towing, just cruising around town and back and forward to work and maybe twice a year for the haul up to Glasgow and back...

The boot space seems just right for the job (although when compared to the vensis it initially looks smaller...it aint) I got a deal on the cargo barrier net so that kept the other half happy.

As we've got 2 jokers in our neighbourhood who think its great fun to spray cars I am getting a Viper 500xv alarm fitted, this thing pages you when things are happening to your car...If this !Removed! turns up again we might get the git...and give him a good couldesack seeingtoo... ;)

Other than that I'm getting the windows tinted...the back will be limmoed out and a smoke tint on the front (I know you're not meant to do the front...but if the police pull me over and request it to be removed the tint place dont charge for removal :D )...

So now there are 2 of us with Red Ravs.....ehy anchorman!

Nice one nightstalker I can sense your excitement, great innit. BTW.I note your remarks re the rear tinting.I scratched the film on the rear door ,looks like a bl..dy map of new Zealand , in clear glass, on the otherwise dark window. Really peed me off because the XT-R is only a few months old.you say the company you use can strip the film off easily. If they can do that they can presumably strip off a damaged one and replace. Be grateful if you could tell me who you use. :censor: :ffs:

Its a company in Reading called Pentagon tints. :toast: .... google them and you'll get their website....think they have workshops all over the place - dont quote me on this one...

When we had the vensis done we got their internet price which at the time was 300squid for all windows...for the rav they are charging us 349 all in...I asked my local MR T (who bytheway also use Pentagontints) and they were going to charge me 450

I asked them if that was their best price and apparently it was, so I confronted them with my price and heyho Im paying the 349 B)

I would presume they could fix tints. How did you manage to damage the tint? I gave it some thought how we could prevent from damaging ours and in the past when we loaded up our avensis we always used the littlens floor blanky to cover up the luggage...so I guess we would do the same again.
