Tuning 2.2diesel

I've been avidly reading this thread...........

What are the TMC power increases for the 2.2 D4D and the D-Cat??

Does the chip cost the same for both models?

How easy is it to fit/remove?

Whats the damage at the insurance company above previous unmodified quote?

Is it really as good as it sounds? (probably wait for Tom to report back on this one).

Cheers all.

Paul.

The power increase is a minimun 20%, all kits are the same price

It is real easy to remove/disable, you can just unplug the loom from the chip kit to go back to normal mode

I have no insurance info to offer, it is an individual conversation you need with your own company.

I am not making any further quotes as to how good it is. They are great it my book, but I would say that would'nt I??

All I can say is I sell about two per week and have had no complaints, I hope tomfraser will comment as and when theres is fitted. I will be providing a testimonial sheet on all future sales, so that the owners can comment, I will then put these on our own website for you to make up your own mind.

Cheers

Kingo

WOW well i just fitted my tuning chip that i got from lindop bros.all i can say is im well impressed with it.it really is nippy now and loads more responsive.the kit was so easy to fit, took no more than 10 mins.

i was worried at 1st about warrenty etc but its so easy to unclip if needed(all you need is a 10mm spanner for the batt terms)

anyway its well worth the money and here is some pics i took to show you how easy it is :)

Hey thanks for the speedy feedback tomfraser

I'm delighted you are happy with your purchase, sent out Friday, and delivered, photo'd and fitted by 11.22 Monday, WOW!

Perhaps you would be kind enough to make some notes on fuel consumption please tomfraser, that way, I can pass on "Real" statistics if I'm asked for an opinion

Cheers

We find most people do the same as you Tom, lol, they cant believe how much more responsive the engine is, and tend to go flat out for a week or two. When you are more used to it, you should find you dont "Gun it" too much, and the fuel consumption improves. Keep us all informed,

Kingo

Yes we can get a kit for that, I don't stock them, but would only take 48 hours to get hold of. Same price too

I am sure a lot of people will find it very interesting how you are getting on with the chipping not just on the Rav forum but on the other forums .

Just out of curiosity how much did the your insurance company sting you for the alteration to engine performance
