Very happy with the new Tsport, just a couple of questions!

When I push the car a wee bit and push the clutch down it sqeaks a wee bit? Doesnt do it with slower driving though. Is this normal?

Also if I take my foot off the accelerate with the clutch up and just role along I can hear some sort of grinding noise. Again is this normal?

Thanks for the help

Simon

I noticed the clutch noise a while ago, apparently it's quite normal so it's nothing to worry about, although I find it annoying. I hear it more at slower speeds though because theres not so much engine noise.

I've noticed the grinding noise with my foot off accelerate and the clutch. Apparently this is quite normal also but there must be a way to fix it.

I can't help you with the clutch noise, but the grinding noise is is on my T Sport. I thinks its just a trait of the engine, a lot of people have mentioned it on here and i haven't had any problems with it. I hope this helps. ;)

To sort out the sqeaky clutch, get out the trusty can of WD40 and its a bit awkward but depress the clutch with your hand then spray the joints that you can see and up be where you can see the clutch dissapearing into the bulkhead. Once you have squirted what you thinks enought WD40 wait a few min then try the clutch pedel and it should be fine.

With the grinding noise cant help much on that one, my one does the same. And l havent had any problems from it so im assuming its a quirk of the car.

Hope this helps!

My diver's seat started squaking too. Its really annoying but when I adjust it a bit it stops for a while. I have found out that the adjusting seems to be moving itself. Quite ofter I put it in the lowest possition and pull it once ( which seem to be my perfect possitions) then after a few hours of driving when I touch it its again at its lowest point.

Also when I go above 160km/h my car starts to whistle :). The sound comes from somehere around the drivers door.

the squeking is the clutch master cylinder, i had mine replaced as there is a moddified one to replace the original faulty one. the clutch has also been superceeded twice - i had my original rereplaced 13 months ago, the clutch mr t fitted was moddified from the original fitted. I now have just had the clutch changed again and the service manager at mr t told me the clutch has been upgraded again (different part no). dont go spraying wd40 as some recommend - this is never a cure just a dodgy mechanics trick! dont let toyota fob u off they are fully aware of these faults
