hey all. basically i need a bit of help or some recommendations on replacement Speakers for my p1 yaris t sport

i know that some Speakers can be too deep and knock on the windows sooo

-what component Speakers do you have in your yaris (preferably 3dr t sports unless theyre all the same)

-do they fit perfectly (if its with an adaptor please say)

-how do you find the sound quality overall? suppose that one depends on the type of music you listen too also

all help massivly appreciated. been looking to upgrade my sound system for a while now and need to be sure im getting things that fit :P

Hey =)

I run Alpine Speakers in my dash and doors, forgotton the dimentions of them, but there very nifty, good sound quality aswell. I also run a 10" sub, nothing over the top. You'll need to cut off the connectors for the old Speakers, and drill out the rivits on the door Speakers.

I have a after market head unit fitted, which puts out 50w to each speaker, way better than the standard CD unit. It really depends on how much your willing to spend on your sound system. I purchaced my speakers from Halfrauds, and my sub form motorworld.

Hope any of this helps! :P

Door Speakers are 17cm with the adaptor  I know as they are in my car now with the box beside me! The adaptor is from autolead and also includes wiring adaptors for the speaker wiring so now chopping is required :)

sorry sprx just another question , whered you get your spacer rings from and how much where they?

also did you have these Speakers before your sub, if you did do they have a nice bit of thump in them on their own or? i listen mostly to hip hop so i want a nice quality sound but with a little bass if i can without a sub..

cheers!

if anyone else can post up speaker setups in their tsports too thatd be great. i need options here! :P there must be loads of you.. .dont be shy haha.

I had the Speakers before the sub, it wasn't that bad, the newer Speakers gave me a tad more bass, but not as much as I wanted, hense the sub being installed :)

I got ma dad to make me the spacers to save time and money, doubt they'd cost that much, it's just getting the right size I guess. I should of taken some pics when I transfered my sound system from my old Yaris, never thought.

Hope it goes well for you mate.

Definately get a sub! Specially if you get coaxials as they aren't usually very bassy! I have pioneer E-motion Coaxials in the dash and door but am thinking about moving the doors to the rear shelf and having components in the front doors to add a little more bass to the set up upfront. This will also give me a better balance of sound without moving the sound stage too far back (the components will be amped making sure more noise comes from the front than back). I also have a 10" FLI active.

Just thought I'd post here rather than starting a new topic....

Was wondering, is it worth changing the Speakers for better quality items without changing the headunit. I know that it would be better to fit a new headunit but I really don't want to yet.... (and I like the steering wheel controls)

I seem to remember the standard headunits amplifier is pretty weak so I was wondering if I'd really notice the difference if I fitted new Speakers in the dash and doors??

I'm sure you'd notice the difference depending on how decent the new Speakers would be, however, you'd not be getting the best out of them. If you have plans to upgrade the headunit in months to come, it may be a good decision.
