Timing Belt Cost

Recommended Posts

Later this year my 2.0 D-4D Corolla will require a timing belt change.

I've been quoted by a Toyota dealer to supply and fit £194 +VAT so around £228.

On the above cost what would the split between part and labour be? Basically how much of the £228 is labour?

Probably close to the £200. But then that's my own cynical view of rip off dealers.

Find out how much they'd sell you the belt alone for, and that should give you a more scientific answer.

Cheers.

majority is labour

my car, admitedly ancient, smaller engined, and petrol, cost me £50 to have the belt done

the belt itself cost £7 apparently

so 86% of the cost was labour lol
