Hi all, ever wondered about this one ? You know its lurking down there in the

gubbins of your Rav. Ever got into a situation where the thing actually kicked

in ? Did it help ?

Cheers.

Dave ;)

T V O R , thanks for that, I never knew that this thread existed. Probably because I dont stray much

from the Rav or General forum. So theres a lesson learned there then :nono:

The reason I was asking was because of an article I read in a newspaper recently. Apparently some

insurance companies are discounting premuims to cars fitted with VSC. Also some goverment chap

wanted manufacturers to fit it as standard to all cars. Due no doubt to the astonishing results in safety

tests as shown in the video clip you attached and explanation. God willing we will never find ourselves

in a situation where we need it.

Dave.

VSC is to be made compulsory in the USA by 2012.

I’m sure it will be compulsory in the UK as well eventually (like Airbags and ABS are now). Any driver buying a new car should seriously consider having it; it’s an amazing piece of kit

Great video's T V O R, thank you

Remember seeing the Tiff video a while back and was impressed then.

Sure you are right and it will be compulsory in Europe soon and not before time

That Jag video with Tiff is fantastic. I’m sure I would need Traction Control more than VSC. It must be great to use in the winter.

I've had mine on the go a few times (it beeps and bongs and flashes at you like mad)!!!

Mostly - (whats the phrase? - oh thats right)- Giving it large in 2nd gear on the exit of a wet (and deserted) roundabout ;)

It would be high on impossible to get the thing working in the dry!!

It's one of the things that still impresses me most about the Rav - it's handling!!! :D

Go on, if you haven't done so already - give it a go!!!!!!
