Hello guys,

I am about to carry out an intermediate service on my wifes 2001 avensis verso 2..0 D4D. I cannot find my owners manual and am unsure how much oil to put in with a filter change. In my mind is the figure of 6 litres but this seems a lot. I drive an audi A4 with a 1.9 diesel and it only takes 3.4 litres so I am confused. I am also planning to use Millers XFE 10w40 as this has proven to be excellent in previous cars. Mileage is 67000.

Any info gratefully accepted.

All the best

6.4 litres including a filter, I would use 5w 30 for better fuel economy, rather than 10/40. Cheers Kingo

I've got the 2.0 litre D4D in my 2006 Corolla SR and that needs 5.9 litres including filter.

You should always "Under fill" by a little, start the car, check for leaks, stop it, check oil filter and sump plug for tightness, then re-check the level. I have re-checked the spec sheet, it does say 6.4 INC oil filter change

Just wondering if the engines are the same then. Is the Verso the 2.2 litre engine perhaps?

Guys,

Just located the owners manual after a major search (just moved house) and it states 5.9l. Thanks for the replies.
