Road Noise

hi all, just got a TS quite happy with it (52 plate) only thing spoiling the driving is the amount of road noise. it has original size tires on, firestone i think, are there any tires that are quieter, and is there any way of turning down the volume of the traffic anouncments on the radio, first time one came on it was nearly a change of underware time.

Mine is a 52 plate and came with goodrich, they're nice and quiet.

i have bridgestones and havnt ever noticed any loud road noise.

cheers, i might call into my local over priced tyre company and see what they think. just noticed today also, when i take my foot off the throttle to slow down i got a dull knocking noise from the front somewhere, as if something was going around with the wheels and catching one of the brake calipers. any thoughts anyone, driveshaft maybe?
