Nice - does the air intake pipe just go where the original pipe was or do you put it out to the grill?

What does it sound like and what are if any power gains?

Space is tight and there is a lot of wiring and pipe! I got the supplier(Demon Tweek) to fit it. Initially they connect the inlet pipe to the original position but I went back and have them connect the filter with a longer pipe to collect air from underneath the car! (I don't think rain water is an issue here!)

Noise wise; an enclosed foam filter will never be as loud as a cotton filter but you will not be sucking hot air from the engine bay!

Although I did not dyno the car, the throttle response is a lot lot better! It feel briskier at high speed or when the air temp is low. I also got the TTE silencer and use Shell V-power. So the noise is good already. Fuel consumption had gone up a bit without me changing my driving-----I can assume this is due to increase air flow and density(Lower temp) which the ecu can adapt by adjusting itself to a different parameter.

Hope this is helpful!

thats quite helful thanks, however i still cant make my mind up - you dont happen to have any recordings of the noise? Both look equally good and i probably bet both osund as good and give about the same gains - iv emailed piper cross regarding it - k and n gave me the figures for thirs induction kit. OK here s aquestion does the pipercross one have a bit for the air sensor to plug into?

Sorry no sound clip but cars with cotton air filter will sound louder!

Don't worry about the connection pipe to the air filter, the pipercross kit comes with a connection pipe where the air mass sensor can sits perfectly (I think you can just about to see it on the photo which I attached earlier!)

Nice one - the toyota equipment is always sensitive - is it also a good idea to disconnect the Battery for a coiple of minutes before taking off, or just do normal driving until the ECU learns it

Probably a good idea to disconnect the Battery 1st!

Saying this, the kit was fitted by Demon Tweek so I don't know whether they disconnect anything before hand!

IT TOOK THEM 2 HOURS+ to get it fitted!
