On way home noticed the RAV was not it's normal self...pulling away and accelerating through the gears and on the motorway...there seemed a flat spot for a few seconds then oomph back again...

As if the RAV is being held back...foot down further makes no difference...I've seen on here before suggestions of using fuel cleaner's..

What's the best type to use...

I hope it is dirt or water in your fuel Chatman and nothing serious or expensive.

And that the problem clear's up quickly.

All the best

A fuel filter inspection should be a first point of call, checking for any water trapped in it, if in doubt, change it

Well Garage inspected it and diagnosed an Air Flow Meter

Will be looking to get one of these soon then...

Couple of questions though...

1. How long do they last before completely giving up

2. Easy to fit (no mechanic me but can do most tasks)

3. Any experience with these meter's

At least they've found the problem, that is a good thing.

Good luck with the repairs
