Avensis 1.6 Vvt-i With 150,000 Miles On The Clock

hi guys,

was just after some experience here. i am looking to buy a house soon so i am needing to sell my new 56 plate car and buy something cheap. i have an opertunity to buy a W plate 1.6 Avensis 4dr with 150,000 miles on the clock. i know all about toyota's bulletproof reliability and this car has been serviced every year at toyota garages.

all i would like to know off you guys, is some first hand experience of these cars that have done this sort of mileage.

Hi,

I have a '98 1.8 pre vvti avensis. Although the engines are different the cars are pretty much the same. If serviced regularly it should be fine although look out for a noisey gearbox in fourth and fifth gears and rust around the top of the front and back windscreens and around the aerial.
