Hey again folks!

Got my GT4 last night, well impressed wit it. the back wiper was workin fine last night, but when i try to put it on today, jus makes a noise and doesnt wipe lol. Anyone know why that is? dodgy connection? or maybe a fuse gone?

Oh, while im here may aswell ask, i got a Laserline cat1 alarm, is there any way of tieing that into my turbo timer so that i can lock the car without havin to wait 90 secs? lol

Cheers muchly

Gary

If it's making a noise then more likely the motor is turning and but not moving the blade.

It could be as simple as tigtening the nut that holds the arm to the spindle.

Or it could be the other end of the linkage in which case you're going to have to remove some trim to get in there and have a look at what's happening.

I'm having the same problem on my car, I've tried tightening the nut but it was no good. I'll try getting at the linkage itself it see if that works

Thanks,

P

Be careful not to put fingers into the mech when it's operating. There will be a short arm connected to the motor; that rotates and causes a longer arm on the spindle to oscillate. Anything trapped in between two gets snapped like a twig.

If the motor is turning, but the wiper spindle isn't then something must be disconnected. The arms are just connected together with ball joints which can pop apart when they get worn.

Good luck, both of you.

I sorted mine, just took the little square of plactic off and made sure all the wiring was all 100% connected, turned key and was workin again.

By the by, how big is the !Removed! fuel tank in these? lol. filled mine from 1/4 to full, took 51 litres!

:) It's for the Rallyz!

68 litres on an ST185 C/S. Probably more on an ST205 what with them having that special valve to let more fuel flow ;)
