Car Model:Aygo blue

Location:Lancashire

I collected ny new Aygo Blue last Wednesday and LOVE it. I just have one slight problem in that when I pair up my Nokia 6120 to the bluetooth system it will say "phone connected" but 10 seconds later the phone will display "disconnected from Toyota".

I have tried deleting the phone and setting it up again but the problem persists. It has on an odd occasion stayed connected.

Also I paired another phone (Nokia 6288) in to the system which does stay connected so it would appear the trouble lies with 6120.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?

Thanks

Does the bluetooth work with other "additions" (cant think of the right word!) on the 6120?

Thanks for your response - I have paired it with my hubby's phone and transferred data, and also paired it with my mac computer. I can't understand why sometimes it will stay connected in the car but mostly it disconnects. I think I have got the settings right on my phone.

Have spoken to the dealer where I bought my Aygo from and they have said to take it in and someone will check it out.

are you phone settings set to "stay connected"?

I have set it to accept connection without authorisation but have not found a setting to "stay connected". Any ideas which menu that would be in? Thanks

I've got no experience with Nokia, but on my Sony Ericsson

there's an option for powersaving with bluetooth.

In my experience switching powersaving ON produces this kinds of problems;

if I turn powersaving off the connections made are MUCH more stable...

Second plus to NOT saving power is that my phone can make multiple Bluetooth-

connections at once (powersaving is done by only allowing one connection at a time),

so I can even have it connected to my carkit AND my TomTom for the traffic-

updates at the same time :P

I'd look for some similar setting on the Phone, it might work...

i have the aygo blue and the bluetooth and mines a bit weird too- it connects but then something like a thunderstorm with disconnect it - and I have to reconnect - now if i get in the car and it doesnt say "phone one connected" I will go to the phone and press for it to disconnect as phone still says connected but then after a moment or so whilst it says disconecting it will then say "phone 1 connected" and it will work again, am not sure this is really helping you but this what i am doing it - the darn thing doesnt understand a word I say so all the commands I have to go through the phone. When I ring or someone rings me it works great is very clear -so am not unhappy with it plus I have a LG Chocloate which looks great but is a rubbish phone so sometimes when there are problems I dont know if its the phone or the bluetooth

I did get confused a little when I i got in the car knowing I didnt have my phone and it said "phone 1 connected" realised later it was because it was in the front window of my house which probably was close enough to still connect it..didnt look for a phone in my car - honest..lol

when using the voice activation i find it best to switch off the blowers as some times they can affect its ability to clearly pick up your voice. as for connecting mine is fine with a sony and a nokia but sometimes it is a bit delayed in telling you it connects. but still love it as its so dam handy to have and fun too.

Any joy in sorting this out, as I have just changed from a good old Sony Erricson which had no problems with the connection, to an all singing all dancing Nokia and am also getting exactly the same situation.

The phone connects, and then.......disconnects.

Tried playing around with settings and not made too much difference so far.

For the record its the Nokia N95.

Ta!

When you say it wont understand what you are commanding....is the bluetooth voice in american english or uk english?

If it is set in american english then it will have difficulty in understanding what you say and will need to be set to uk english.

V easy to do - let me know if you need to know how.

Apparently there are problems with some Nokia phones & bluetooth connectivity.... I just did a Google search for "nokia bluetooth problems" and loads came up - seemingly more with the 6300 range than anything....

I must admit, my Sony Ericsson works brilliantly with the bluetooth in the car and I'm really impressed with it

Are you due for a phone upgrade anytime soon? I would if I were you!

I did, I upgraded from the perfectly fine Sony Ericsson K800i to the N95 - spot where I went wrong!!

One sort of solution that is working 9 times out of 10 is to set the connection to 'Unathorised' on the phone. This means that the phone won't connect automatically but asks you for confirmation first. You do have to press one button for this to work though!!!!

When confirmation has been given the phone connects and seems to be a bit more reliable.

Fingers crossed!

Some phones have to have an additional download of software in order for bluetooth to work properly. bluetooth just seems too much trouble for me, it either works fine or its a nightmare, I just turn my phone off most times when driving, I just cant be bothered with it :censor: :censor:

Kingo

Hi everyone.

Can anybody help. We have bought an Aygo Blue but the built in handsfree kit won't pair with our sony ericcsson w580i. The phones bluetooth is on and visibility is on. The aygo says set the phone to scanning and pairing in progress but nothing happens and then it says pairing failed refer to user manual. There is no information regarding bluetooth in the manual!

We have had no trouble pairing this phone with our macs or my tomtom.

Any suggestions - thanks
