How big a amp are you powering?

Anything over 100w, would best be powered from the Battery, espically if your running over long periods.

The last thing you need, would be for the power cabling to overheat and start to melt, then you might have a bigger problem on your hands.

First i want to thanks for quick replay.

Most of the time i think how to make my audio to sound better.

I don't whant to use some complex solution because my corolla is new (about 5 months old).

Now i have 6 Speakers, 2 in front and 2 in rear doors, and 2 tweeters and i can't say that sound is no good, but .....

My question is:

What do you thing, it's good idea to add some passive sub-woofer and two more tweeters somewhere above back seats or to change only Speakers in front and rear doors.

I don't need very strong sound only little better then now.

Sorry for my English i hope you undertstanding me.

Thank you.

I use to have the 6 speaker setup in my car when i first got it, but now it's only 5!!

Ok what i've done, was to change the front door Speakers, both of them, in lower door and tweeter mounted and changed them for Diamond Audio M5 comp Speakers. Disconnected rear door Speakers so not using them, and had a custom sub enclosure in the boot, all running off a 5 channel amp, very simple.

I'm not a great fan of having 6x9 speakers on parcel shelf, makes it look boy-racer-ish, sorry Carls sr  , and also makes people wonder what you got in your car, i much prefer stealth look.

Anyway back to sasestil question.

Add the sub in your boot, forget the rear tweeters, and change the front speakers if you can. Have a setup same as mine.

It makes the sound come from the front across the dashboard and the sound then rolls towards the back of the car.

Having powerful speakers in the rear will only make the sound come from the rear towards the front, not an ideal setup even if you do fade the rear speakers down. Its like standing in a concert but having your back towards the stage and trying to work out whats going on.

hope that helps
