Hello

It's my first time i write to the forum

I bought a second hand,2003 Corolla 4 door saloon 1600cc vvt-i from Singapore

When i turn the key to the ignition position , there is a strange sound coming from somewhere behind the tachometer

The sounds continues even when i start the car.

Does anyone knows what it is??

Thanks in advance!

Yes its like a click, or a tick you can say,

i believe it should be some electrical sensor or something, because the sound starts from the time i turn the key, before i start the cat

every car has a SIM in behind the steering wheel, its like an ECU for the interior lighting and speedo clocks. when u turn de key it sends a signal straight to the SIM to activate the clocks and lights, is everything working properly on de tacho and speedo ect..?? cud just be a simple problem in behind it.
