Hi all...

I bought this N/A 3 weeks ago and had it professionally detailed by a mate last weekend... what do you think ?

Only fitted a K&N and shortshift so far, but have plans for some white 16" lightweight rims (when I can find some :( )

Cheers,

Daniel.

Stunning, if its anything like mine was, it will be pink again in a week!

Hopefully not !!

The final wax was one made by OPTIMUM, which has UVA and UVB filters to allegedly prevent paint fade.

I hosed a week's worth of dirt off last night and the water just ran off and it looks like new again :)

The process was...

wash & dry with cold water hose / two bucket method & sheepskin mitt

claybar & detailer spray

portercable with Poorboys SSR polish (this took around 5 hours !!)

clear glaze

wax

wheels and tyres cleaned and protected

windows cleaned and treated

black trim cleaned

In all took around 9 hours, and cost me £60 and some bacon sandwiches, but I think it was worth it ;)

Daniel.

My track car takes just over a month to go pink again. It's 22 years old now and has always lived outside. Some part are so pink they're white

But using Autoglym products I can keep it red for a little more than a month per application. Just wish the Autoglym stuff worked on rust too :help::lol:

That's one very mint looking MR2. Haven't seen a true red one like that for a while. My only criticism is it looks a tad high on those big wheels, just needs lowering a bit.

I am waiting to wear out the virtually new tyres on those 17" rims then I will be changing to some lightweight white 16s and dropping it 35mm or so.
