Advice Needed

Hello all,

I recently got my corolla t sport face lift on a 54 plate, very nice I have to say! I havnt has so much fun taking most cars at the traffic lights including those stuck up bmw dummys with their 325ci :D Jus a couple of questions really...

I would like to upgrade to the TTE ECU chip thingy from toyota direct, any idea how much it would cost and isit reliable? would it ruin my car? isit a noticable power gain? Also would it effect my warranty?

Isn't the TTE ECU Chip only available for Diesel Engines? Don't think TTE did a chip for the T-Sport.

maybe im not 100% the tte chip could be for a non-t sport but what about an aftermarket one?

You're correct Ed, the ecu upgrade from tte is only available for Diesel engines (and now I may be mistaken but it was only ever listed for the facelift version - although what the engine difference between the 2 is, I don't know).

As for upgrading the T-Sport ECU, I really don't see much point, it is already generating an awful lot of power for what it is (litre for litre, they are more powerful than most ferarris). It will end up being a very expensive change for very little power gain judging by past discussions on the matter.
