Having had my CTS for about 2 weeks now, im quite unsure bout a few things as it is a beast of a car. Ive never driven a performance car before so Im not sure about how far I can take the CTS.

Could anyone tell me how to get the CTS off the traffic lights the best and fastest way in terms of revs? How far can I take the revs in 1st and 2nd gear?

Thanks guys

Whats the point of revving away at traffic lights. Just ignore the kiddies in their saxos. You have a great car that will leave them dead. No need to prove it.

As for how far you can push the engine, well when it's cold, just pretend it's a normal car and keep the changes below 3500 revs. Once it's warm however you can take it upto 8000 in any gear :)

Agree totally with that. Nice and gentle with the accelerator and keep the revs fairly low when cold. Then when nice and warm (a few minutes after the temp gauge hits the middle) then don't be afraid to use all the revs god has given you. Even changing down into 2nd at 40-50mph is fine as long as you match the revs fairly well during the gearchange.
