I'd like to ask whether anyone has a Toyota that hasn't needed new alloys.

I've had four. Sets!

Had two sets on a Celica, and now two sets on a Lexus. With the Celica I assumed that once the three years was up they were no longer covered. However, with the Lexus I discovered that its 2nd set which were fitted just before the car's warranty expired, came with their own 12 month warranty. As they started bubbling before that ran out I got yet another set. Unfortunately these ones look like they might last over a year, so when they eventually do go I'll have to look elsewhere.

Toyota alloys are pants.

Sorry - re the procedure.

Visit main dealer, explain problem, they order new set which takes about a week or so, but can of course vary, return to have them fitted FOC.

Repeat once per year.

PS - note which tyres were fitted to which wheels. Depending on car type and condition of tyres, consider asking them to rotate the tyres as appropriate for that vehicle while they're about it.

All four changed one week before the end of its 3 year warranty. I think the dealer has changed a few sets in their time. He didn't seem surprised all four had gone bubbly.

When mine was under warranty i had two replaced, they had bubbling starting around the edge of the spokes.

I was having a service done, i pointed out the bubbling to the service manager,he agreed said the wheels would be in a week later, took it in ...job done.

Its down to the service manager's discretion ,so don't go in and demand new alloys ,talk him round to your way of thinking first  :) .

It will be no suprise to any dealer you have alloys that are corroding, there will be no need to jump up and down to get them replaced under normal warranty period

Kingo

I had no issues on my avensis in regards to the bubbeling(warranty just expired- no problem though as I'm getting my Rav4 3 on Friday :) )...I did however get the wheel nuts replaced under warranty as they were rusting :o .
