I've been lurking as a non-member for a wee while now sniffing around for tips etc before we plunged for the particular RAV we chose.

Initial thoughts RE this forum are that it should be a welcome change from the BM forums I used to frequent (still got a 328 coupe sat in the drive). Typical topics would include;

Is £140 too much to pay for an oil change? - well yes when you can DIY with great oil for £70 all in.

Why is my ABS light on all the time? - If you bother searching for my 'Easy ABS diag' thread then you'll see whay it's on and how to suss out what sensor is duff.

There is a lot of 'Oooh, take it to the dealer' type responses. Me? I have a 'if it's already broken, then I can't break it anymore' attitude and prefer to get hands dirty and knuckles grazed.

Seeing the NRG in the brochure a few years back stuck in my mind, hence my purchase. Hope its Lagoon Blue B)

Blue Blue ha ha add it to the list then we can overtake these silver things that seem so common :P :P :P

Hello and welcome to the club.

I have to say that I am getting a bit nervous about the size of the Scottish contingent and am seriously considering putting a few extra courses of stone back on Hadrians Wall or following Clare's lead and abondoning ship all together.

Just kidding, were all good friends but my warnings to raggy extend to you and if ever anything you read on this forum ever makes sense then you should seek advice from elsewhere.

You did however make a good decision by buying the RAV.

Cheers mate.

LOL @ increased Scottish contingent - we obviously require a nice compact and agile 4x4 to chase the wild haggis in.

Is Lagoon blue the one that looks a bit like Subaru blue, but a bit darker. More of a 'Royal' blue I suppose???

I've already injured my self this week, but that was when practising welding. For a Fiat, not the RAV. I did quite well, I needed six proper stitches in my finger this time!
