I want to fit a TRD Quickshift to my T Sport. I am a bit of a amateur with cars, all i've done is oil changes and watch a few people. My question is, are they easy to fit or should i get someone with experiance to do it?

Thanks.

Having fitted both the TTE and TRD myself i would say the TRD is very easy. You have to take out the lower centre console held down with two bolts and two screws. Then you will have full access to the gearbox area. You unclip the two main shafts going to the gearbox, undo the 4 big bolts holding the entire unit down and take it out. Put in the new TRD unit, reclip the two shafts going into the main unit, do up the 4 bolts holding it all down then put back all the centre console taken out.

If you wish to remove the gearknob just twist anticlockwise i think, it will come out so you can remove the gearknob leather cover.

I found it very easy to do, about 10minutes, the TTE kit took me well over 4 hours to fit including fixing clips i broke on my main gearbox surround.

Armz.

As Armz, said, the TRD unit is designed to be as close to plug and play as possible. It's very straight forward and takes next to no time at all.

i've got it and it was a doddle. bit fiddly but nothing overly difficult. although on reflection i'd go TTE lever in a trd housing, that should drop the throw by 50%+!
