Tyre Size Mr2 Mk2

My mr2 mk2 has 195-60-14 tyres front and 205-60-14 rear

yet hand book says 195-55-15 fronts and 225-55-15 rear

was there different sizes for the same model car.

Mine is a 2000cc 1990 import

Early Revision1 models,( probably what you have) came on 14" rims

Rev2 onwards were revised with 15" wheels as standard,

it sounds like a early rev 1 set of alloys

The rev1 14" wheels are one of the reasons handling on the early cars are bad!! The sidewall is just toooooooo big!!

I am restoring a MR2 Mk2, and am going for original condition. With respect to tyres I note there are 2 sizes one for rear and one for front. What size is best to have for spare. ?

Try 205 fronts 225 rear.
