Best Safety Rated Car

I just saw a re-run from Top Gear where they compared the damage in standard 40mph collision tests. I'd forgotten we're all driving the safest cars out there. I'll have to be careful that I don't get overconfident and drive like I'm invincible just because NCAP proved that I just might be (around town anyway).

It was impressive to watch but they only showed 2 star through to 7 star rated cars. Unless I missed something, could it be that they're so unsafe that there's nothing much left to look at after a crash in a one star vehicle?

Euro NCAP has a maximum of 5 stars... unless you know different?

Unless I missed something, could it be that they're so unsafe that there's nothing much left to look at after a crash in a one star vehicle?

Usually the safest car's have the least left to look at in a frontal accident because the crumple zones have done their job, it's older cars where half the front was left intact but it caused the engine to go straight through and push the dashboard into you that caused the problems.

That reminded me of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, they invented there own 7 star rating too........lol
