Upgrading Brakelines On Gen 7

Having had my car for about a month now I'm getting a lot more used to it's foibles, and am getting the twitch to start upgrading.

Having not been overly impressed with the brakes I was going to bleed the system out when I noticed that the brakelines are looking somewhat corroded - nothing too horrendous, but it's got me thinking. Has anyone uprated their brakelines to a braided setup and got any comment as to whether the outlay is worth the expense? Similarly any idea how difficult a job it is? I've played around with discs, calipers and pads before, but never messed with the lines, so not sure how difficult a job it is or how noticeable the benefits.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
