Replacing The Front Door Speakers

Hi

I have a Y-reg corolla, and i want to replace the front factory fitted Speakers with ones that i bought a while ago.

it seemed that i needed to remove the panel, and i went about it with fair ease, until i got to the top side of the panel. Its attached to the door with the handle and the little bit that pops up when the car door unlocks blocking it from coming out.

The panel appears to be in two bits, as there is a line going horizontally across the middle of the panel, and so when i went about trying to remove it, but found that they are joined.

Does anyone know if there is an easy way of removing the panel, or if there is an easier way of replacing the front Speakers.

Also, i want to connect the Speakers to a new amp that i have bought, just wondering exactly how this is done as well... what i need to get, and do etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Some things here:

1) How many Speakers are you planning to connect to your AMP?

2) What's the power output of the Speakers? (need to be at least 800W for better sound quality)

3) What type of amp do you have? Is it a coax amp?

4) How many channels can your amp accomodate?

5) What's the maximum power of your amp?

6) Does your amp have a built-in crossover or are you going to connect one?

7) Do you have an active or passive subwoofer?

8) What's the power per channel of your headunit (CD or DVD player)? (50-52W per channel is ideal)

The RCA cables that you'll need will depend on the Speakers and headunit you'll connect to your amplifier.

About the speakers:

If you are after a SOUND QUALITY LEVEL (SQL) setup, buy the best mid-range speakers. If you're after SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL (SPL) setup, then better buy a 12 or 15" subwoofer -- i suggest a Sony xplod or a DD woofer
