Hi guys asked before, but didn't really get much help.

I need to swap my speedo on my car from the jap one to the uk dial.

I have the new dials which go up to 180mph rather than 110mph from the jap dial.

Can anyone help???

If your just after changing the dials go to the gt4 owners club website theres a how to on there, its easy enough. have you had it de-resricted? Because if you haven't it will onlt do 112mph so changing the dials won't do anything if you need it de-restricted go on eBay there a device for doing it for only £25 and easy to install. Hope this helps

Its been de-ristricted and I do need new dials, but I thought I would have to change something with the car as the numbers on the speedo would be closer than my current one. For example I may be doing 110 on my speedo but on the new one it might show as only doing 80 as the numbers on the dial are closer. Is this correct or am I being told porkies?????

As long as its been derestricted and converted to read MPH rather than KPH it should be fine when you take your instrument cluster out have a look at the back of it and see if there is a little black box wired up to it it looks a bit like a relay with three wires wired in =to the back of the instrument cluster if so then its just a straight swap mate

normally de-restricting it is the same as converting KPH to MPH. since you have already got the dials i'm pretty sure Mook at skewer.com/.co.uk, can't quite remember, has a guide on his site. basically take out the cluster, unscrew the clear plastic front, remove the needles and the old dials then replace every thing with your new dials in place. you should be able to find a guide online to tell you in more detail as removing the needles is a sensitive job
