Mine makes a terrible screaching noise on its return leg, same happened in the polo so im presuming a replacement is due?

Is it the blade or the whole arm that needs replaced?

Where can I get it, apart from toyota?

And the all important price question?

Its a special fitment that you have to get from Toyota as I recall.

Its not that expensive from my local dealer. Less than £10.

Screeching in one direction may or may not mean that replacement is required. Have a look at the rubber itself and see if it has a permanent set to it when lifted away from the screen. If it does then see if you can get new rubber from Toyota, should only be a few pounds.

If the problem isn't caused by the rubber then perhaps the arm is bent. Stop the wiper at halfway position by switching the ignition off. At that point the blade should be perpendicular to the screen. If it isn't the the arm is probably sligthly twisted. Only snag there is that if it's a plastic one then there's not much you can do to re-align it.
