Bluetooth Phone Kit

I have a Verso TR with the integrated bluetooth.

Recently playing around with it and my Sony Ericsson K800i, I tried to use the 'Speed dial' command. Having picked speed dial 2 and I would have thought this should have matched speed dial 2 on the phone. Instead it consistently tries to phone a friend who does not even have a speed dial assigned.

So I went and got my wife's K750i with exactly the same results only it wanted to phone my mother-in-law. Not good.

Has anyone figured how how this works or point me in the right direction if I am doing something wrong.

Thanks.

brOke,

Is the bluetooth kit language in US english or UK english? If its in the US english mode it does have problems understanding what you are saying.

You can change the language setting by - ignition off hold down 'mode' and 'down' buttons on the steering wheel. turn the ignition on (dont start the car)

keep your fingers on these buttons until you hear the language menu sound. It will then guide you through how to change it.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the reply.

It's in English. And its pretty good. I can call out a number and it recognises it most of the time, unlike the Sony Ericcson one in my car which I have trained several times to my voice and it is just bizarre.

The problem I am experiencing with it is specifically the choice of number to dial when I try to use speed-dial. It is selecting numbers from the phone that do not have a speed dial assigned and I can see no reason for this. It is the same number called each time I select a specific speed-dial. They are numbers from the phone book, not the last dialled, received or missed.

I am thinking the problem is with Sony Ericsson so I will try out a Nokia phone and see if that works.
