Alloy Pedals.

Can anyone tell me if the alloy pedals fitted to facelift and compressor's will fit pre-facelift?

I'm thinking of changing my pedals as they are getting rather worn and want to find if they fit and are easy to change?

Yes they should fit. I think I remember someone doing this alreadt

Ah, thanks for that.

I think i may call up my toyota dealer and get a part number and price on them.

I take it you have not changed yours? Are they not considered very good and get squeeky when wet?

No idea on that I'm afraid. The reason I haven't done it is because on my list of things to change on the car, the pedal weren't very high up the list. And my next 2 projects will probably be anti roll bars and a facelift rear bumper, although I'm pumping all my money into a house rennovation right now, and work is crazy, so don't have the time, money or effort to kick these off :(

Ahh nice!

The anti-roll bars are just purely for handling? You've lowered yours and have larger wheels and better tyres than me, i find the handling is actually pretty good now its lowered. Would the anti-roll bars make that much of a difference to handling or is it more for controlling the body roll?. As the car does feel rather 'top-heavy' on bends but feels solid otherwise.

If it's not expensive i may consider it, but i also have a list of big things i want to change, maybe front grill, rear bumper with air diffusers and also side skirts. But the parts are so expensive i've held off and just been doing small upgrades. I have a mot and service due in 3 weeks so anything i do to the main bodywork will be done after that so i'm in no real rush. I have a whole bunch of trolley dings and other scuffs accumilated since i bought it that needs a complete smartening up. Why oh why do people damage other peoples cars?

I'm looking to change my front 2 Speakers soon as they just don't seem to give enough midd-bass and all i have right now is the high notes and the really deep notes coming from my kenwood whirlwind 12inch sub in the boot. Maybe infinite comp Speakers. :-)

Hmm, i actually wouldn't mind a rear strutt brace to match my front brace and level things out, but as i see it the interior of the boot must be stripped for it to be fitted and would be visible permenantly...

The handling is fine on my car, but all I notice when turning is the roll, so I'd like to eliminate that if possible, and anti roll bars will be the most effective way of achieving that.

As you've said, replacing body parts is an expensive business, especially as you have to pay for them to be painted (and possibly fitted) after shelling out to buy the actual parts. IMO though, if you have a pre-facelift model then it definitely benefits from the change. Pretty much every set of lights i stop at where there are relatively young people crossing, they always stare at my car trying to work out what on earth it is, as I don't have the big Toyota Badge on the front :D

I also considered the rear strut brace, but as my car is used a lot for carting junk to the dump/recycling centers, having a solid bar running across the back would be highly impractical, so I haven't bothered.

The roll bar or strut brace made an IMMEDIATE improvemnt to the car and stops iit form being a boat - i save half an hour on roundabouts now and i dont have to shout passenger overboard in tight corners lol! 98% no roll and once lowered will be awesome :-)
