Turbo Question

I have a Corolla 2004 on a 53 2.0 D4-D.

Not sure if there is something up with the turbo or if its just in my head :unsure:

The car went into the garage to have its air-con fixed. They removed a pipe from the air-con to have one made up see this thread;

air-con pipe

They had the car for a week and gave me a courtesy car during that time.

Since I've had mine back I've felt it doesn't have the same 'get up and go' as it used to.

I'm not sure if its just in my head. Before the Corolla I had a 1.5 Almera which never had any go to start with. So when I moved to the Corolla I really felt the Turbo kick in. I then had a 1.4 Stilo for a week horrible car but more fiesty than the Almera. Now I can feel the turbo kick in but it doesn't feel the same - not the same punch. :(

As they never managed to get the pipe made in the week - I took the car back minus the air-con pipe, so in effect before the mechanic had finished his job.

I believe the engine is a 1CD-FTV. Could they have disturbed the Turbo when removing the air-con pipe? Is there anything I can check to test the Turbo? Have I just become used to the car and its performance?

Thanks for any advice.
