As above really, is it an easy fit?

Any general comments on it would helpful.

Thanks

U jst undo the bolts on top of strut tower im guessing simple as like most cars but with the small space on the corolla engine bay there maybe some components u need to be loosen out the way temporarily, not really checked properly, so yes easy to fit. Last nite i sent prolex a email if they stock the toms one listed on their site not got back to me yet like to know where else u can buy them either that or im gonna get a cusco strut bar from aus that works out cheaper than uk supplied strut bars so prolex get back to me or i go elsewhere!lol

They are just simple bolt on using the existing bolts on the car. 5mins and a spanner/socket set.

Where have you found a Toms brace and for how much? It's not the one from Prolex is it? I emailed him over 3 weeks ago asking if he had a picture of it but never replied. My TRD short shift purchase from them went very smoothly though.

Thanks

Saw the one on eBay too, i am actually in the same position as you, trying to figure out which one to go for, but dont want to risk extra customs duties if buying from aus.

I seem to recall MiniMark saying he got his for 140 delivered from them, so i assume he maybe of asked for it to be declared as gift, but not sure.

If only Prolex would reply it would make life so much easier. lol

Watch your spelling there mate. I'm hyper sensitive about the whole Marc/Mark thing ;)

I can't remember precisely how much it cost me when i bought it (I think something close to £120 or £130 As I remember thinking "Wow that's £100 cheaper than the TRD strut"), but there wasn't any duty owed on it when it showed up, and I didn't ask for any special declarations etc to bypass the duty either.

Here's a couple of pics of the Cusco Strut fitted...

It is the Prolex one at £140+Del.

I am presuming the question they're slow to reply to is will it fit on the latest Corolla?, not a 99MY Car as the advert mentions.

If it does i will be having one!

When i say is it easy to fit, i am referring to this particular Strut brace not Strut braces in general apologies for any confusion.

Yeah it will fit and its for E12 chasis so will fit all corollas after 2001. the date in the advert is wrong as no E12's were made before 2001 unless i am wrong? Aus market maybe?

I seem to recall the price listed next the item is actually including vat and delivery, so its 140 all in.

Its a tuff decision, 142 for the cusco from aus, or 140 for the toms, and i now see a TRD for $180 (£90) buy it now!

Hmmm....

Seems like Toms / Cusco are more less same price if prolex one includes delivery & vat & they finally got bk to me.....

Toms / TRD are alsways more expensive than cusco so tempted to buy the Toms one jst need to ensure the car is fine & all before i could buy it....

I ended up getting the cusco at 142 as its chrome and goes well with dark coloured cars. If Prolex hasn't got back to you yet be patient, he's been very responsive the last few days, probably was catching up with a backlog of enquieries.

Yeah i got it from a seller on eBay, straight from Australia. I should get it maybe next week or the week after. I would have gone for the toms one, but the cusco has nice blue ends to match my cars colour, plus its chrome so looks better on darker car.

Will take pics after i get it fitted, i recieved my Alloy pedals set from Parts-King today, superfast delivery, i fitted them today atfer work and they feels so much better than the standard pedals. was expecting some squeaks and other noises from my wet trainers but no. Perfect.

i didnt know there was two different types of pedals. I presume mine are the facelift models? Unless Parts-King can jump in and clarify? I paid 61 plus 10 delivery i think, dont have the invoice to hand. That was including vat, so the 50ish you got quoted is about right.
