So i removed the original headunit and attached my old alpine 9847r to my 05 t-sport. Is that original headunit only a cd-player and display for the ECU or does it contain something important? I was wondering if i could sell it bcuz it´s now useless but i dont know if i will need it in the future... If it´s only a player, radio and a display then i wnt to get rid of it ;) I also asked how much it costs from my friend who´s a local toyota dealer and he told that it´s between 800 and 900€!!! I need money so bad! :D I dont know if there´s anything differend in the headunit compared to a non-tsport e12 except it has orange backlights. If someone knows can it be attached to normal corolla, please information me!

The only thing i think i lost was fuel computer, which measured the MPG, avg MPG, etc.

I never really use it anyway, so unless you need it or some benefit for you, keep it.

If i got it right, you want to change the original H/U for your single DIN Alpine H/U, not a problem, but you will need a few thing before you can change it.

First, you will need a facial adaptor. The original H/U is a double DIN size, so it will need to be fitted in.

At this point i will show you a pic.

This show how it would look like when fitted and installed, notice the empty slot just above my Alpine.

The next things you will need is and wiring loom and aerial adaptor.

The wiring loom will change the Toyota loom to fit your Alpine loom, and the aerial adaptor will change it from a short adaptor to a long adaptor.

Click on my signature link, it will show you how to change it.

Hope that helps
