Corolla Audio Questions

Hi guys. im new to this forum as i am to be a Toyota owner. I recently purchased a D4D 2.0L corolla Car/Van. Its goin great, fab car, comfy as hell but just a few little things i wish to alter.

The CD player does not play MP3s which is important to me, is there anything that can possibly be done to change this such as an external circuit connected or a chip insert or anything as i dont want to lose the display thats there already as it has the clock, temp, mpg etc...??

I also wish to connect an ipod. what is the best product available to do this?

Volume controls, i dont have any on the steering wheel and the volume control is a good reach for when im driving. not a major reach but hey we all like our comforts whilst we drive. Is there any gadget available that can change this?

I know im questioning alot here but i really fell in love with this car and really want to work at making it the perfect one for me..

Hi mate,

I guess your best bet would be to replace the head unti with an aftermarket one with remote and AUX connection for your ipod.

If you don't want to replace the original unit, then you may be able to get an 'aux mp3 adaptor' off eBay.

Erm, suppose you could try a scrap yard for some upgraded toyota parts eg. steering wheel + stereo.
