Avensis 1.8 Noise When I Presss My Gas Pedal

There is some noise coming on in my toyoto avensis 1.8, this is happening when I press on my gas pedal. I can hear this noise if i go low speeds and that too when I am pressing on gas pedal. I have taken it to toyoto garrage they have said that there is no sound they can hear.

I can remember when it was first started, few months back my engine oil was completely down and i have got engine symbol on dash board. Then after gone through the manual, I have realized that i am mainintaing low engine oil and petrol. Then given for servicing and its gone all the sounds.

Again i am getting these sound since a month, but oil levels are fine no indications any where.

If any body can help, what could be the noise and where it is coming from?

There is a valve on the end of the inlet manifold on these that go noisy, unfortunatly you cant buy the vavle on its own, you need a new inlet manifold. That would be my guess, even without a description of the noise, lol

If it's a 2002 Avensis with a 1.8L that means it's a 1ZZ.

The 1ZZ intake manifold doesn't have an integral valve built into it so I'm a bit confused as to what problem you're describing Kingo?

The first thing I would suggest doing is taking the car back to the dealer and asking them to listen to it and another 1ZZ Avensis of similar age. That way you and the dealer should be able to understand the noise and if it's a normal condition.

If you let the oil level get low that would suggest a bearing problem but that might be being alarmist at this moment. You say an engine light came on previously. Can I just confirm this was the orange engine shaped light and not the red oil can light?

I know it's a bit difficult but any descriptions of noise can help.

Guys, thanks for the information. Basically its problem with my gear box that too with some issue with 2nd gear. After spending some money it has been sorted out the issue.
